And yet a business grant is available to any small business, large business; they are available to you – whoever you are.
A business grant is a form of assistance, usually financial in nature, the benefit of which is that it is non-repayable. Business grants can be distinguished from other forms of finance available to individuals or organizations by the fact that the grantor’s decision to support an organization is made without the need for direct commercial gain.
But before you start thinking about a business grant you need to be clear what the grant will be used for. You do not get a business grant simply because you start a business. Most schemes are ‘discretionary’ in that your success or otherwise in getting a grant is dependant upon decisions made by the purse-holders of the grant scheme.
In other words you need a business plan and you need to get that plan in front of as many grant schemes as possible...
